What you will learn
Before inserting edges, locate each white edge and note its second color so it can match the corresponding side center.
Before you begin
Set a clear front and upper face on your physical puzzle. If you are using the simulator, choose the appropriate cube size, then hold the same orientation before comparing moves. Review face-turn notation whenever a move symbol is unfamiliar.
Find the pieces or pattern
Before inserting edges, locate each white edge and note its second color so it can match the corresponding side center.
Try this short exercise
Find all four white edges on a scrambled 3×3 without moving them.
Check your result
Stop after the exercise and compare your real cube with the interactive 3D cube. Check neighboring face colors, not just the face closest to you. If the outcome differs, repeat slowly from a known position.
A white sticker pointing up is not enough: side-center alignment matters.
Take the skill into your next solve
Apply this lesson during one deliberate practice solve. Describe what you see before moving, make only the move you intended, and check the result. Confidence with piece recognition and reliable turns matters more than repeating a long sequence quickly.
